The sīrah tells what he ﷺ did. This tells who he was.

Imām at-Tirmidhī gathered what the Companions said when they were asked to describe him — not his campaigns or his rulings, but his face, his hair, his sandals and his ring; how he sat, how he ate, what made him laugh; his sleep, his fasting, his weeping in the night; what he wore, what he owned, and what he left behind. Nothing here is anyone's summary. Every chapter is the people who saw him, saying what they saw.
