Al-Qaṣaṣ 28:71 Juzʾ 20 Page 394

‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?"

Read in the muṣḥaf

قَوْله تَعَالَى: ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: دَائِما.

وَقَوله: ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: بنهار.

وَقَوله: ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: أَفلا تعقلون، وَيُقَال: أَفلا تَسْمَعُونَ سمع تفهم.

‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the day continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you a night in which you may rest? Then will you not see?"

قَوْله تَعَالَى: ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: دَائِما، وَقَوله: ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ مَعْنَاهُ: أَفلا تعلمُونَ، فَإِن قَالَ قَائِل: مَا وَجه مصلحَة اللَّيْل فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَلَيْسَ فِي الْجنَّة ليل؟ وَالْجَوَاب عَنهُ أَن الدُّنْيَا لَا تَخْلُو عَن تَعب التكاليف والتكليفات، فَلَا بُد لَهُ من وَقت يفضى فِيهِ إِلَى الرَّاحَة (من التَّعَب وَأما الْجنَّة فَهُوَ مَوضِع التَّصَرُّف فِي الملاذ، وَلَيْسَ فِيهَا تَعب أصلا، فَلَا يحْتَاج إِلَى وَقت يفضى فِيهِ إِلَى الرَّاحَة) أصلا.

‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And out of His mercy He made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful.

قَوْله تَعَالَى: ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ أَي: لتسكنوا فِي اللَّيْل، وَقَوله: ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: بِالنَّهَارِ.

وَقَوله: ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: تشكرون نعم الله.

‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are my 'partners' which you used to claim?"

قَوْله تَعَالَى: ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ قد بَينا الْمَعْنى، وَيجوز أَن يُوجد نِدَاء بعد نِدَاء لزِيَادَة التقريع والتوبيخ.

‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And We will extract from every nation a witness and say, "Produce your proof," and they will know that the truth belongs to Allah, and lost from them is that which they used to invent.

قَوْله تَعَالَى: ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: استخرجنا من كل أمة شَاهدا يشْهد عَلَيْهِم، وَالْأَظْهَر أَن الشَّهِيد على كل أمة نَبِيّهم.

وَقَوله: ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: حجتكم وبينتكم.

وَقَوله: ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏ أَي: عجزوا عَن إِظْهَار الْحجَّة، وَعَلمُوا أَن الْحق لله.

وَقَوله: ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَي: ضل عَنْهُم يَوْم الْقِيَامَة مَا كَانُوا يفترون فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَمعنى ضل: فَاتَ وَذهب.
