حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى حَكِيمِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ: لاَ تَكُونُوا عُجُلاً مَذَايِيعَ بُذُرًا، فَإِنْ مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ بَلاَءً مُبَرِّحًا مُمْلِحًا، وَأُمُورًا مُتَمَاحِلَةً رُدُحًا.
Hukaym ibn Sa'd heard 'Ali say, “Do not be hasty, spreading and divulging secrets. Ahead of you lies a severe, distressing affliction and events which would take a long time explain - namely oppressive conflicts.”
