Al-Maʿārij 70:23 Juzʾ 29 Page 569

‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

Those who are constant in their prayer

Read in the muṣḥaf

‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ لا يَشْغَلُهم عَنْها شاغِلٌ.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And those within whose wealth is a known right

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ أيْ: نَصِيبٌ مُعَيَّنٌ يَسْتَوْجِبُونَهُ (p-33)عَلى أنْفُسِهِمْ تَقَرُّبًا إلى اللَّهِ تَعالى، وإشْفاقًا عَلى النّاسِ مِنَ الزَّكاةِ المَفْرُوضَةِ والصَّدَقاتِ المُوَظَّفَةِ.

‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

For the petitioner and the deprived -

‏‏‏‏‏‏ الَّذِي يَسْألُهُ.

‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ الَّذِي لا يَسْألُهُ فَيَظُنُّ أنَّهُ غَنِيٌ فَيُحْرَمُ.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏

And those who believe in the Day of Recompense

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ أيْ: بِأعْمالِهِمْ حَيْثُ يُتْعِبُونَ أنْفُسَهم في الطّاعاتِ البَدَنِيَّةِ والمالِيَّةِ؛ طَمَعًا في المَثُوبَةِ الأُخْرَوِيَّةِ، بِحَيْثُ يُسْتَدَلُّ بِذَلِكَ عَلى تَصْدِيقِهِمْ بِيَوْمِ الجَزاءِ.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord -

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ خائِفُونَ عَلى أنْفُسِهِمْ مَعَ ما لَهم مِنَ الأعْمالِ الفاضِلَةِ اسْتِقْصارًا لَها واسْتِعْظامًا لِجَنابِهِ عَزَّ وجَلَّ، كَقَوْلِهِ تَعالى: ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏، وقَوْلِهِ تَعالى:

‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

Indeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe -

‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ اعْتِراضٌ مُؤْذِنٌ بِأنَّهُ لا يَنْبَغِي لِأحَدٍ أنْ يَأْمَنَ عَذابَهُ تَعالى وإنْ بالَغَ في الطّاعَةِ.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

And those who guard their private parts

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ سَلَفَ تَفْسِيرُهُ في سُورَةِ المُؤْمِنِينَ.

‏‏ ‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏ ‏

Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed -

But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors -

‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ أيْ: طَلَبَ لِنَفْسِهِ.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏ وراءَ ما ذُكِرَ مِنَ الأزْواجِ والمَمْلُوكاتِ.

‏‏‏‏‏‏ المُبْتَغُونَ.

‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏ المُتَعَدُّونَ لِحُدُودِ اللَّهِ تَعالى.

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ ‏

And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive

‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏‏‏ ‏‏‏‏ لا يُخِلُّونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِن حُقُوقِها.
